How to secure your spot

To confirm your place on the retreat, a 30% deposit of the total package cost is required at the time of booking. This deposit secures your spot and allows us to reserve accommodations and experiences exclusively for you.

Remaining Balance (70%)
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the retreat start date. If the balance is not received by this deadline, the booking will be considered cancelled and the deposit forfeited.

This payment structure allows you to secure your place early while completing payment closer to the departure date.

How do we get there from Cyprus?

All flights are included in the package price. The group will travel together from Larnaca, with a connecting flight through London, before continuing on to Cancún International Airport. Complete flight details and timing will be shared with registered guests prior to departure.

Can I join from another country?

Yes, participants joining from countries other than Cyprus are welcome. Please contact us for a personalized quotation.

Do I need a visa or special documents to travel to Mexico?

The only thing you need to make sure of is that your passport is valid for at least 6 months from your date of travel.

Your Mexico entry visa/tourist permit is already included in the package, so there’s nothing extra you need to arrange. We will ask for your passport details in advance in order to arrange the required entry documentation, just make sure your passport is valid and you’re all set!

Please note that it is the traveller’s responsibility to ensure their passport is valid and in good condition. Entry requirements may vary depending on nationality, so if you hold a non-EU passport, we recommend checking with us before booking.

What is included with the flights?

Flights included in the retreat price are booked in economy class and include:
 • One checked-in suitcase up to 23kg
 • One carry-on trolley up to 7kg
 • One small personal item or handbag
 • Meals provided on the long-haul flights

Seats are randomly allocated by the airline. Guests who wish to request a specific seat (such as aisle, window, extra legroom, or upgraded class) may do so by notifying us in advance and paying any applicable fare difference. All special requests are subject to availability.

What is the weather like in August?

In August, Cancun and Playa Del Carmen areas, experience tropical summer weather with daytime temperatures averaging between 30–33°C and warm evenings around 24–26°C. The Caribbean Sea is beautifully warm, making it perfect for swimming and water activities. As it falls within the rainy season, brief tropical showers, usually in the afternoon or evening, are possible, but they are often short-lived and followed by sunshine. Overall, expect a vibrant, sunny atmosphere with warm temperatures and occasional refreshing rain.

What currency is used in Mexico?

The local currency is the Mexican Peso (MXN). U.S. dollars are widely accepted in Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

Are credit cards accepted?

Credit cards are accepted at the hotels and shops. However, smaller vendors and local services may prefer cash, so having a mix of payment options is advised.

Is Mexico a safe destination?

Yes, Mexico is considered a safe destination for tourists, especially in well-established travel areas like Cancun and the Riviera Maya. Tourist zones such as Cancun, Playa del Carmen and the surrounding resort areas are heavily oriented toward international visitors and maintain strong security presence. Hotels, organized excursions and transportation providers we collaborate with, operate under regulated tourism standards, and millions of travelers visit the region each year without incident.

How will I be supported during the trip?

Throughout your journey, you will be fully supported by an experienced Cypriot tour escort who will travel with the group from departure to return. Your escort will assist with airport procedures, hotel check-ins, daily coordination, and ensure that all scheduled activities run smoothly. They will also be available to provide guidance, practical advice and personal assistance whenever needed, offering reassurance and familiarity throughout the trip. With continuous support every step of the way, you can relax and enjoy the experience with confidence.

What’s included in this package?

Is the package physically demanding?
This package is moderately active, but it is not considered physically demanding. Most days combine sightseeing with relaxed pacing, beach time and comfortable transportation. Activities such as visiting Chichen Itza involve walking around archaeological ruins in warm weather, while Rio Secreto includes walking and swimming through an underground cave system. The eco-parks (Xcaret and Xenses) offer light-to-moderate activity, but participation is flexible , guests can choose how much they wish to explore and can take breaks at any time.

Overall, the itinerary is suitable for travelers with a normal level of mobility and general good health. Comfortable walking shoes, sun protection and staying hydrated are recommended. If you have specific mobility concerns, it’s always best to inform us in advance so we can advise accordingly.

Is participation in all activities required?

No, participation in all activities is not required. While the itinerary includes a rich program of excursions and experiences, guests are always free to choose how they spend their time. If you prefer to relax at the hotel, enjoy the beach, or skip a particular excursion, you are welcome to do so.

The program is designed to offer a complete and enriching experience, but flexibility is always respected. Your comfort and enjoyment come first, allowing you to balance activity and relaxation according to your personal preferences.

Are dietary preferences accommodated?
Yes, dietary preferences and requirements can be accommodated. The hotels operate on an all-inclusive basis and offer a wide variety of international and local cuisine, including vegetarian options and lighter selections. For specific dietary needs such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, or food allergies, we kindly ask that you inform us in advance so arrangements can be communicated to the hotels and relevant excursion providers.

Our goal is to ensure that every guest enjoys their experience comfortably and confidently, with meals that suit their personal preferences and requirements.

What should I pack for this trip?

Closer to departure, we’ll send you a detailed packing list and invite you to a group information session where we’ll answer any remaining questions and help you prepare.

In the meantime, please make sure to have ready to pack swimwear, water shoes, comfortable clothing, natural insect repellent, International adapter plug and a reusable water bottle.
Please note that the parks and archaeological sites we will be visiting only allows sunblock and sunscreen containing titanium dioxide or zinc oxide, as these ingredients are environmentally friendly and help protect the area’s delicate marine and natural ecosystems.

What is XPERIENCE cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be made in writing via email and are effective from the date we receive your notice.

Cancellation fees apply as outlined in our Terms & Conditions:
 • Up to 60 days before departure: 10% of the total trip cost
 • 59–30 days before departure: 30% of the total trip cost
 • 29–21 days before departure: 50% of the total trip cost
 • 20 days or less before departure: 100% of the trip cost
 • No-show: 100% of the trip cost

Please note that cancellation terms may vary for certain special packages or services, and any non-refundable components (such as flights or special permits) will be clearly stated in your trip details.

Can XPERIENCE cancel my trip?

In rare cases, XPERIENCE may need to cancel a trip for operational, safety, or other important reasons beyond our control.

If this happens, you will be offered the option to:
 • Join another XPERIENCE trip (any price difference may apply), or
 • Receive a full refund of the amounts you have paid
